Description

I FINALLY finished this series, and with a character I've never done before at that! Yep, after 300+ wallpapers, I've NEVER done anything with Spike, until now.

Now, before I begin this review, I think I should state that I have no idea at all of Dragonball. I know that its characters spend a lot of time flying and beating each other up, but that's about it.

So. What about this wallpaper? Well, it certainly stands out. The mist looks impressively real, especially in its interaction with the light coming from the ball. Those rays play through the fog very convincingly.

As for Spike, the vector used here is very well suited. The pose and expression point to the ball as the centre of the picture, and, again, the rays of light interact very well with the figure, illuminating him in the right places. Also, the bottom half of Spike's body disappearing in the mist is most convincing.

What about the complete impression? To put it simply, this is a strong visual. It's simple, it's concentrated without being too pedantically symmetrical, and it manages this without compromising Spike's canon traits. All in all, quite impressive.
