The Beauty Beyond Sight

Description

Had a little time to throw this together. Still gonna be extremely busy till mid-June, so don't expect much from me until then.

Anyways, being a Visual Effects artist, seeing those who are blind strikes a very personal nerve with me. Knowing that they will never see the visual beauty of life, and the visual beauty of CGI, Special Effects and such that I cherish and live for every single day. Needless to say; I liked Snowdrop's story: [link]

For her background, I wanted to go with an extremely basic look, since I think that's kind of what I took away from her story; cherishing the small, basic things in life most of us take for granted.

Oh boy my second critique after the feels picture from "The Mare Who Has Everything." And it even involves my favorite of the two OCs. I don't if my heart can take this.

Vision: boy as obvious as this is, vision is outstanding. I love that you put Snowdrop on top of a cliffside with snow falling gracefully on her gentle mane as she looks upward dreaming of winter. It's often amazing to feel snow fall on your sensitive skin despite the disabilities you have. Trust me, it feels amazing.

Originality: Originality shines here a bit. The cliff part is a little cliche, but the way it's being used makes that pointless seeing it being used as the part of the moment.

Technique: Do I have to explain it here when almost everyone here know's how you draw? xD

Impact: Brilliant, just brilliant. The exposition of Snowdrop herself (If I used that word right xD), the background itself, and many other tiny details this has gives that feeling of wonder. The wonder of this wondrous filly, her life, and what winter truly means to everyone. It's no wonder (Wow I used 'wonder' too many times) I watched the animation every winter.

As a picture this stands well and anyone who ever watched Snowdrop will love this pic like how they loved her. Now on to the next critique with poor Trixie, again.
