...what if King Sombra won, and cast not only the Crystal Kingdom, but all of Equestria into darkness? ;)

Alright, so here we have a work that seeks to explore what it would have looked like had King Sombra one.

Let's start with the technical aspect. You have a vector of Sombra surrounded by a cloud even darker than the rest of the work. That matches up with how he is displayed in the show. This said, using shadow to highlight the focus of the work, Sombra, is a rather unique take. Hence your originality score being the highest here.

The dark crystsals scattered around all look rather mundane, they don't really exude malice. A few crystals with a more jagged and spire-like appearance would have loaned a feeling of dread to this scene. Sombra looks like he's glaring at the crystal tower in the distance with gleeful anticipation, focus on the anticipation. The city is dead looking, he won, he should look a little more content, or like he has an idea in mind.

As it is the work is rather dark and glum, but nothing else really contributes to a feeling of dread in the viewer, hence the low impact score.
