Applejack decides one day that she wishes to go out for a day and see things that Equestria has never shown her before. Naturally she goes to Twilight, and Twilight sends her to one of the moons of Jupiter; Callisto. Applejack climbs to the highest mountain peak she can find on the rocky moon and looks to the stars to see Jupiter basking in the sunlight.

...and the spell also gave her the ability to breath on the moon for those who are wondering

Oooh. I can mathematically find the FoV of this shot

Mean radius of Jupiter: 69,911 km
Semi-major Axis of Callisto's orbit around Jupiter: 1,882,700 km
atan(69911/1882700) = ~2.13 degrees.
So the field of vision for this shot is roughly 5 degrees or so.

I couldn't help but do that when I remembered that Jupiter looks very small from Callisto. Personal experience, of course (not like I explore the cosmos in Celestia, or anything [link] )

Best candidate for colonization, and a nice choice for Applejack, btw. The other major moons, Io, Europa, and Ganymede receive a deadly dose of radiation

And Callisto is covered with huge masses of water ice, which of course contains Hydrogen and Oxygen, great for drinking, rocket fuel and life support. Though I don't think Applejack intends on using it any of those ways
